Harriet Gordon, LPC
Owner, Founder

I’m a therapist with over twenty years’ experience in the field. Moreover, I am a highly sensitive human who has experienced adversity and complex trauma. I’ve dedicated my professional time and energy to collecting a vast array of strategies, which I know from personal and professional experience WORK. It’s just a matter of finding the right combination of tools for each person.

As our collaboration evolves, I will customize my approach to meet your individual needs. You are worth more than one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. Starting therapy with someone new can be daunting, whether it’s your first time to counseling or not. I’m so glad you’ve decided to invest in your mental and emotional health, because YOU MATTER!

My counseling style is warm and collaborative. I believe in unconditional positive regard and a shared partnership in identifying treatment goals and steps to obtain them. I combine elements of CBT, EMDR, Sandtray, Art and DBT therapies as well as practical, mindful solutions that can easily be incorporated into our daily lives.

I look forward to getting to know you better. Please let me know if you have any questions and
I will do my best to help you find the answers you seek.

From time to time, we all need a trusted person to talk to about the issues we face. Feelings of sadness, anxiety, and inner conflict can be difficult to deal with when you feel as though you have no one to talk to who will listen or understand. By combining cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and a family of origin focus, we can work together to find keys to who you are and discover the right path for you as you travel along life’s road. Helping you to be the person you were created to be is what matters most to me,

The focus of our sessions will include how you function — in your family, your work, and your life. It is my goal to provide a warm, caring, non-judgmental environment for you to find the right path for you as you travel through life.

I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, meaning that I do my best to see the whole you, including everything and everyone who influences you each day
